MATH PATTERNS

In the study of math, a amazing aspect

 is its patterns.

To improve recall of math facts, take them apart to find patterns.

 This higher level of thinking called analysis  aids long term memory.

Addition

6 + 6 is a double. The answer is 12.

6+6=12

Now 6+ 5 is one less…(12-1) = 11

6+5=11

6+7 is one more…(12+1) = 13

6+1=13

Find the patterns inherent in the number itself!

12 = 1x12,  2x6,  3x4

28 = 1x28, 2x14, 4x7 and! 1+2+14+4+7 = 28!
